Getting Teens to Cooperate - Workshop for Families
Presented by: Education Alliance – Triple P for Teens Positive Parenting Program
Raising teenagers can be challenging, especially when it comes to getting them to follow routines, complete responsibilities, or respond respectfully. This workshop is designed to support parents and caregivers with practical, positive strategies to encourage cooperation at home.
During this session, Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) facilitators will guide families through step‑by‑step techniques for motivating teens in a way that reduces stress and builds healthier relationships. The approach is evidence‑based, gentle, and focused on strengthening communication between parents and their teenagers.
In this workshop, parents will learn how to:
- Encourage responsibility by setting clear expectations teens can understand
- Use positive communication skills to reduce arguments and resistance
- Respond calmly and confidently when teens push limits
- Create routines and agreements that support cooperation
- Help teens make better choices and feel more accountable for their actions
- Build trust and mutual respect through consistent, supportive parenting
This is a highly practical workshop that offers real strategies families can start using the same day. Whether you’re dealing with daily battles over chores, schoolwork, screen time, or general pushback, this session will provide tools that make cooperation more likely—and family life more peaceful.
We welcome all parents and caregivers to attend this helpful and supportive event!
